Juneteenth Freedom Today

Juneteenth Freedom Today

Even though we now celebrate Juneteenth as a nationally recognized holiday, we are still struggling with those who want to cling on to old White Supremacy dominance and the oppression of African Americans and Black People all across the United States. In our State Houses, law enforcement agencies, judicial courts, and even in the United States Congress racism continues and festers. However, once our full rights as United States Citizens are recognized, protected, and all of the enacted civil rights laws are fully enforced by all of these legal entities throughout the entire United States of America, then this nation will become a better and more perfect Union. It isn't promised that we will see this happen anytime soon or even within our own lifetimes the way our nation is politically and racially divided today because domestic terrorism remains this nation's foremost threat. Unfortunately, millions of Americans must be re-educated and taught how to obey the human and civil rights of all races of people regardless of our race, religion, age, gender, economic status, and politics. Nonetheless, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. knew that one day his dream could be realized if everyone woke up and obeyed the Kingly law of love and acted to help make this nation a more civil one.

Isn’t that the ideal? - Juneteenth Freedom Post - 2023
